About Me
Most tracks don’t need more ideas — they need clarity, movement, and polish to make them release-ready.
I’m Gerben Laing, a music producer and mixing engineer specializing in turning strong demos into polished, release-ready pop and EDM tracks. I work with artists and producers who already have a clear direction but feel their track is missing that last bit of contrast, energy, or focus.
My strength lies in overview, precision, and finishing. I quickly hear where a track needs to breathe, where it needs more impact, and where less actually makes it stronger. Sometimes that means refining the arrangement, sometimes stripping things back — always in service of the song.
With a background from the Abbey Road Institute and years of experience shaping audio for national radio (including 3FM and Radio 2), I bring both creative intuition and technical confidence to every track I touch.
